Cumbria Crystal was founded in 1976 to produce very high quality, handmade, full lead crystal tableware and these qualities remain at the heart of the company today.
The last English manufacturer of luxury hand-blown and hand-cut full lead crystal, Cumbria Crystal refuses to produce overseas or use automated manufacturing methods and only uses traditional glassmaking methods.Commitment to quality remains exacting; each piece of crystal is inspected twice before receiving the Cumbria Crystal assay mark of first quality.
The Company has remained small and true to its artisan roots and employs 20 people at its factory in The Lake District where visitors can watch craftsmen and women producing crystal in the time honoured way.
