CLICK ON IMAGES FOR PRICES 'Etosha' is a vase made using the double 'graal' technique.
This particular work was inspired by a visit to Etosha National Park in Namibia & the incredible colour of the landscape & sunsets.
In this piece I tried to achieve a feeling of the atmosphere of the clouds illuminated by the setting sun in the glass by reflecting light off the inside of the piece.
This was achieved by making an 'embryo' using 4 different colour glass over-lays, which were carved to create the cloud design with its colours. This was then reheated & blown to its final dimensions.
