CLICK ON IMAGES FOR PRICESA glass life cast taken from a model. The models face was gently pressed into a bed of sand to make a mould & then molten glass was ladled in from a furnace.
The back surface is coated in aluminium giving the work metallic quality. If you look carefully you will see a glass hand gun embedded into the side of the cast & a metal key encapsulated inside the glass.
This is an unusual sculpture in that it has no traditional base. It may be displayed anywhere indoors or out lying down or even fitted into frame.
