A few years ago I was working with Australian glassmaker Tim Shaw in Adelaide developing my design skills with hot glass. 'Echoes of Summer' is one of the pieces we made. It was inspired by the beauty & variety of the colours of the trees during Autumn.

It was made using a double cup grall technique. The leaf designs were sandblasted onto each cup & then the cups were reheated, put inside each other & then blown to full size adding more glass en route.

The surface is lightly frosted. The rim is hand ground & polished.
